By using our website or services, requesting a quote, arranging a collection, sending us your device or accepting a payment from us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
Gadget Gains purchases eligible electronic devices from customers. Our services may include local collection, an agreed meeting point or a postal service using a prepaid label supplied by us.
We reserve the right to refuse any item or transaction where we reasonably believe the item is stolen, fraudulent, unsafe, counterfeit, subject to finance or ownership restrictions, or otherwise unsuitable for purchase.
Quotes are based on the make, model, storage, condition and other information you provide to us.
Unless otherwise stated, quotes are valid for 48 hours from issue. A quote is not a final purchase agreement until the device has been inspected and accepted by Gadget Gains.
If the device differs materially from the description provided, including damage, faults, missing parts, activation locks or other issues, we may provide a revised offer.
You are free to reject a revised offer before completing the sale.
Where a local collection is arranged, you must ensure that you are available at the agreed time and location with the device.
Gadget Gains may inspect and test the device before confirming the final offer and completing payment.
Collection availability depends on location and scheduling and is not guaranteed until confirmed by us.
Where agreed, Gadget Gains may provide you with a prepaid Royal Mail Tracked 24 label so that you can send your device to us.
You must package the device securely and appropriately for transit, use the postage label supplied by Gadget Gains and obtain valid proof of postage when handing the parcel to Royal Mail.
You should keep your proof of postage until we have confirmed receipt of the parcel and the transaction has been completed.
If a parcel is lost or significantly delayed in transit, you must provide any proof of postage, tracking information or other information reasonably required so that a claim or investigation can be raised with Royal Mail.
Any compensation or reimbursement relating to a lost or damaged parcel may be subject to Royal Mail's applicable terms, compensation limits and claims requirements.
Gadget Gains cannot accept responsibility for loss or damage caused by inadequate packaging, use of a different postal service or label without our agreement, failure to obtain valid proof of postage, or incorrect information supplied by the sender.
Payment may be made by bank transfer, cash for eligible local collections or another payment method agreed with you.
Postal transactions will normally be paid after we receive, inspect and accept the device.
You are responsible for ensuring that any payment details you provide are accurate.
You must provide accurate information about the condition and functionality of your device.
This includes any cracks, damage, faults, battery issues, repairs, missing components, locks or other relevant defects that could affect the value of the item.
We reserve the right to revise our offer where the condition differs from the information originally supplied.
You may cancel a quote or collection before the transaction has been completed.
For postal transactions, if you reject a revised offer after we receive and inspect your device, arrangements will be made for the device to be returned to you.
Once you have accepted our final offer and payment has been made, ownership of the item transfers to Gadget Gains and the sale is final.
You are responsible for backing up any information you wish to keep before handing or sending a device to Gadget Gains.
Where possible, you should remove personal accounts, passwords, SIM cards, memory cards and personal information and disable services such as Find My iPhone or other activation locks.
Gadget Gains is not responsible for the loss of personal data remaining on a device, except where liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where it would be unlawful to do so.
We may update these Terms & Conditions where necessary to reflect changes to our services, legal requirements or business practices.
The current version will be published on this page together with the date it was last updated.
